They were a motley crew from vastly different worlds—each leaving their old lives behind:

• * a grieving miner’s widow brings her outcast maid as they flee the misogyny, racism, and rigid caste systems of the Kolar Gold Mines of India and cross the seas to a whole new world;
• * a British naval officer, flogged and branded a mutineer for trying to save Chinese slaves from a horrific injustice, becomes a fugitive only to become entangled with a fierce Navajo beauty;
• * a ravishing Mexican courtesan trades decadent, luxurious pleasures for dusty trails, infiltrating “respectable” society as she chases the spoiled wastrel unworthy of her love.

The fates of these daring outsiders intertwine as they each gamble everything on the promise of freedom in an attempt to rewrite their destinies on the fierce frontier of the untamed American West, deep within the treacherous Navajo territories.

The world cast them out.

The West brought them together.
