Summary

Born an orphan in 651 B.C. Babylon, in the midst of a vicious civil war, ADAD GUPPI rose to become the High Priestess to the Mesopotamian Moon God Nanna-Suen and influenced the decisions of ten kings through two different dynasties in two of the Ancient World’s mightiest empires.

Raised in the court of her father’s killer, Adad Guppi’s ruthless uncle Ashurbanipal is the king of Assyria – and the king of the Universe. From a young age, her wisdom earns the favor of her uncle king.

She is deemed the voice of the Moon God.

An older cousin, Makruba-Sirrushu, daughter of the king via a consort, grows envious of Adad’s rise and vows revenge – even if it leads to civil war between all the relevant powers of the 7th century B.C. world: Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Medes, Scythians and Judeans.

As Adad struggles to escape sacrifice to an alien god at the hands of her nemesis, the climatic battle changes the course of world history with the fall of the last outpost of the Assyrian Empire in 610 B.C..
